When Sohan Seth (Dalip Tahil), a shrewd businessman, convinces many beleaguered farmers to sell their lands for his commercial interests some by using the violent tactics of the village's heavy hand, Nirmal (Romeo) it shatters the harmony of village life, and Dayal's family is jeopardized. Dayal Singh and his sons are locked into a battle of right; each is focused on their path to success. The brother's are pitted against each other with a different outlook of land and its value as the crisis in the village unfolds. The ground at their feet, is it Motherland or simply Property? It spin tails them down a direction they can never return from, leading to a shocking turn of events as their women Priya (Dia Mirza) and Titli (Nauheed Cyrusi) add to the drama and conflict. A prospective groom Michael (Aftab Shivdasani) to a cousin, Maria (Tulip Joshi), nervous about meeting father-in-law to be (Naseer Abdullah ) comes in completely spaced out because of a hallucinogenic drug given to him out of Maria's junkie brother Harry's (Chunky Pandey) bottle of "Relaxo."
A knife-wielding suspicious Jenny (Kim Sharma) finds her husband Carlos (Javed Jaffrey) pleading forgiveness from the red- hot model Ayesha (Sophie Chodhry). While the model, told to bestow her favours on a man in a black suit, in order to feature in an ad film, finds herself in a room full of potential employers.
A repulsive spit on hands and flick back hair, Roadside Romeo kind of aspiring boyfriend, Jim (Vrajesh Hirjee) thinks that even a funeral is an opportunity to impress Maria.
A doddering old Uncle Murphy (Prem Chopra) in a wheelchair believes in practicing "rapchick" to get the girls...

Fans were welcomed back to a brand new season of Coke Studio on Sunday, June 14th where we started our journey with the acknowledgment of the power of individuals or ‘Individuality’ through musical collaborations and performances. Our first live session took you to the heart of a recording studio where Saeein Zahoor, Noori, Atif Aslam, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Javed Bashir and Zeb & Haniya were captured in their raw essence through unique behind the scenes moments as they looked to define and redefine traditional and contemporary paths of music. Episode one saw these featured artists collaborate with musicians such as Sadiq Sameer on Rabab, Assad Ahmed on guitar, Babar Khanna on dholak, Jaffer Zaidi on the keyboard, Javed Iqbal on Violin, Kamran “Mannu” Zafar on Bass, Louis “Gumby” Pinto on Drums, , Natasha De Sousa as backing vocalist, Omran “Momo” Shafique on guitar, Saba Shabbir on backing vocals, Sikander on dholak, Waris Baloo and Zulfiq “Shazee” Ahmed Khan on multi percussions.
With our artists, this seasons’ first step into the musical expedition celebrates the individual being and our personal identities bringing to you sounds and expressions unique to each of the 25 artists collaborating aiming to inspire respect and appreciation of each artists’ distinct flavour: Take Saeein Zahoor’s collaboration with Noori for Ik Alif, Atif Aslam revamping Jal Pari with the house band, Javed Bashir paying tribute to the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Saab’s through his version of Aaj Latha Naeeo, Shafqat Amanat Ali’s new sound for Khamaaj and Zeb & Haniya’s collaboration with Saddiq Sameer on Rabab for Paimona: This is where fusion and experimental music is possible. This is Coke Studio!
Join us again in a fortnight, June 28th, as our journey continues and we see these individuals come together to create music in harmony and together explore the variety and vibrant beauty of different styles of music.

Anubhav – A not so pleasant experience

Synopsis: Anubhav (Sanjay Suri), Antara (Shruthi Seth) and Aadi (Anoop Menon) are products of the Bombay theatre academy who nurture big Bollywood dreams. But reality soon dawns upon them that those dreams are not to easy to fulfill. Anubhav during his struggling mission encounters Meera (Gul Panag) who excitedly declares that she is his fan. The twosome fall in love and get married much to Meera’s rich parents’ wishes. The theatre guru Ibrahim Vakil (Jackie Shroff) now becomes their sole patron. Meanwhile Aadi manages to get a producer for his film which is supposed to be an adaptation of famous Shakespearean play, Hamlet. The film starring Anubhav in the main lead gets stuck midway owing to an untimely demise of their producer. At the same time Meera runs into some pregnancy complications which in turn lead to an extra ordinary turn of fortunes for Anubhav. All these problems drive Anubhav to become a gigolo who trades his body to sex hungry woman in return of money. But as he solicits his clients, he imagines them to be characters in a movie till he gets to a point when he cannot differentiate whether he is a gigolo, an actor or an ordinary man.
The basic premise of the film is really interesting since its topical and such things do happen in present times in Bollywood. But once the situations are established and Anubhav turns a male prostitute, the film losses its way. You also stop caring much about the characters and simply can’t relate to them. Then there is this melodramatic angle forcibly thrown in about Anubhav’s new born daughter’s illness and how Gul Panag thinking their daughter is dead. Also what were the makers thinking when giving those lines for Sanjay Suri to mouth when he is narrating his sex worker experiences? Simply cringe worthy. Agreed the film may be inspired from real life sequences but why be so direct?
While direction is so-so by Rajiv Nath, the other departments also hardly impress. Aadesh Srivastava’s music is plain ordinary. Amongst the actors only Gul Panag delivers while Sanjay Suri with his limited set of expressions just doesn’t. Jackie is simply wasted whereas Shruti Seth, Raj Zutshi and Sudha Chandran hardly have meat in their roles. Anoop Menon is fair.
Having suffered this Anubhav (experience) we would like to tell you that it is not really a pleasant experience to under go. Watch at your own risk. -Sampurn Media

She comes in contact with a bunch of street kids and hence begins a journey that is full of life, drama, fun and fresh sparkle. She has dreams and the grit to believe in them. She carries an underlying sense of social obligation but the story is treated with youthful appeal and feel good factor. In this journey, she is accompanied by friends, but eventually the journey is hers to make.
Will she be able to catch the glimmer of light and change it into sunshine? Will this sunshine be hers to savour or she will shower it around for all to grab?

OK, Ian - BUT, if that's the case, how come 95% of aspiring traders fail to make any money?
Well, in my humble opinion, (based on 30+ years of experience) the reason why traders fail is that they make a number of basic mistakes. They may not even realize they are making them or that their behaviour is causing certain results, which are holding them back from real success.
- Believing you're in some kind of competition, your perceived opponent being "the market". Believe me the market is enormous, it doesn't care. It's in competition with no one.
- Impatience: the inability to NOT trade when conditions are unfavourable. Sit back, don't feel you have to have your "nose to the grindstone" for 8 hours a day. Only trade when it's the right thing to do.
- Having no consistent methodology. One of the biggest mistakes, it might work now and again, then again if you have no method, you are just guessing.
- A belief in "luck" & a superstitious attitude. Is your computer screen surrounded by lucky charms? Do you have a rabbit's foot keyring? Do you read your horoscope for the day before sitting down to trade? Trading isn't based on luck or the planets being aligned.
- A feeling that the market is "out to get you". Do you get angry at "the market"? do you try to get your own back? Don't waste the negative energy, the market is bigger than any of us and to be honest, it just doesn't care!
- A lack of self reliance - taking personal responsibility for one's actions. Don't blame your poor results on anyone or anything else. It's all down to you. It's lonely out there, get used to it.
- Low self worth: any profits made are quickly lost again due to a feeling of not being deserving of them. The old work ethic rears its ugly head. Does working for only a couple of hours a day somehow make you feel guilty.
- Believing that great results from "paper trading" will translate into the same in the real world - they won't! You may be worth millions in Toytown currency, but the real world is different from a game of Monopoly.
- Trading with money you can't afford to lose - you WILL lose that kind of cash!. Remember, you'll need your "trading bank" to start. Decide how much you can afford to lose, accept that you may.
- Excessive emotional input - too much fear & too much greed. Scared of losing, scared of winning. Driven to make millions - all of these stop you being "an amused bystander".
- Poor or non existent money management. You may only need to work a couple of hours a day but it needs to be a well organized, focused couple of hours. It's important to know at any given moment how much you should trade, when to enter and when to exit a trade.
- Inability to cut losses. Again keep emotion out of the equation. Never try to double your losses. Stick to your system, start and exit your trades in line with your system. You won't win them all, get used to it.
- Inability to let profitable trades run. As above but the opposite. Have confidence in your system, follow it, don't get scared and grab the money and run.
- Inability/unwillingness to find and listen to a mentor. Trading is easy, if you know what you are doing and have a reliable method. 95% of people don't. Don't make this mistake, I can teach you all you need to know to become a successful trader.
- Too much willingness to listen to news items and to believe others know more than you do, seeking out "hot trading tips" for example. These days we are bombarded with info overload - TV, radio, internet, newspapers, magazines - all packed full of so called experts. Don't listen to the noise! Follow your system, trade when the signals are favourable not when the latest "TRADING GURU" gives you a hot tip.
